Meet Pam Goldstein
Pam Goldstein is a nationally-recognized, award-winning crisis communications strategist with a proven track record of guiding global organizations through high-stakes reputational challenges.
She is the founder of Pam Goldstein Advisory, a consultancy focused on crisis preparedness and response for organizations navigating complex regulatory, operational and reputational risks. Prior to launching her firm, Pam served as the head of global crisis communications at McDonald’s, where she led the company through some of its most sensitive and high-profile issues from 2019 to 2025.
Pam built and led McDonald’s first global crisis communications team and served as an on-the-record spokesperson for national media. She oversaw the company’s global response to the Covid-19 pandemic, leading a cross-functional crisis team that supported more than 100 markets worldwide. In recognition of this work, she received the McDonald’s President’s Award, honoring the top 1% of corporate staff globally. Pam also advised the senior leadership team on a wide range of critical matters, including labor relations, executive transitions, data security, food safety, supply chain disruptions, geopolitical crises, social and political issues, and high-stakes litigation.
In 2024, she also led McDonald’s US Enterprise Communications team, overseeing US financial communications, executive visibility and business storytelling during a time of economic volatility, in addition to US crisis work.
Earlier in her career, Pam was a trusted advisor in Edelman’s Crisis & Risk Management Practice, where she counseled dozens of Fortune 500 clients during moments of significant reputational risk.
She led the response to one of the largest global product recalls in history and directed efforts during a landmark data breach that resulted in Congressional hearings and drove regulatory change in the cybersecurity landscape.
Pam began her career in public service, working in the White House Office of Presidential Personnel under President Barack Obama. There, she supported candidate vetting and nomination efforts for key federal roles in the Departments of Justice, Labor, Education and Health & Human Services.
Pam has been recognized by PRWeek’s 40 Under 40 (2021) and PR News’ Top Women in PR (2024). She is a frequent speaker at industry events and a guest lecturer on crisis leadership at the University of Chiago Booth School of Business. Pam holds a degree with honors in strategic communications and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
